Overview of Governance
Christus Catholic Trust operates a Scheme of Delegation designed to ensure effective leadership and governance at all levels within the Trust. It operates the following structure:
The Members - oversee and hold the Trust Board to account and will ensure that the values of the Trust are upheld including the schools’ religious character and distinctiveness.
The Trust Board - develop the vision and values of the Trust, provide strategic leadership, hold leadership to account and ensure the financial viability of the Trust and each of its schools. The Trust Board is the accountable body, answerable in part to the Secretary of State for Education as well as the Bishop. The Trust Board operate a number of committees in order to discharge its responsibilities effectively.
Local Governing Committees - The Trust Board delegates some governance decision-making and the day-to-day oversight of school leadership to Local Governing Committees for each school within the Trust.
